1) Creative Concept - contains really interesting, unique ideas or visuals that are not necessarily related to the song.

The music video that i am reviewing is Naughty Boy - Runnin (Lose It All) ft. Beyoncé, Arrow Benjamin. The music video presents  a male and female both see each in the sea and they try to swim to each other and the camera roll is brilliant as it turns and the male and female turn upside down and the audience may feel a bit disorientated. This shows that people would enjoy this music video as it is very good and motivating to watch and enjoy and also be excited.

2) Narrative - a video that has a clear story line - usually related to the lyrics. This lends a film-like quality to the music video.

The song shows boxing and the target audiences are mainly for teenagers and younger because they would dance and sing to the song and it is basically two older people boxing man and women and they  start to love each other and they go out. They also have a fight at the end with a sumo wrestler. At the pub, Sheeran can toss drinks down with his mates ("Me and my friends at the table doing shots") and, apparently, just wait for his Jedi-like magnetic appeal to pull in an attractive, would-be hookup partner, preferably an aggressive woman who's willing to take all the risk while Ed just sits there passively waving his hand like Obi-Wan: "Come over and start up a conversation with just me/And trust me that I'll give it a chance now."That and every song he releases sticks to the charts like a leach, [I still hear thinking out loud. which I may review some day]. The main reason is that he's so in-offensive that radio station will play it and continue his chart success. And "Shape of you" is no different.

3) Performance Element- This is when the music video focuses on a performance from the artist - usually lip-syncing and co-ordinates dance moves.

The song wild thoughts is very motivating and inspiring as everybody like Rihanne. The dance that they do is very motivating as loads of people dance to the song. People will also like Bryson tiller because he is also in the video and a good rapper.

4) Camerawork (use of camera shots and camera movements) and interesting editing (number of shots, how they are cut together)

Ne-Yo is definitely experimenting with a new sound on "Libra Scale", but his attempt is successful. With production help from Chuck Harmony, Ryan Leslie, D. DoRohn Gough, etc, Ne-Yo presented a sexy sound. The album presents itself as an album for those living the fancy nightlife, those living the "Champagne Life".With nearly as many producers as songs, Libra Scale, Ne-Yo's fourth album, nevertheless hangs together sonically-these tracks move more fully into the synth-drenched Europop sheen that typified the first half of Year. The whole point of it is for each song to work almost like a sequence to tell a story. And Ne-Yo definitely achieved this. His goal was to make this track thought engaging, and in that front I think he succeeded. Pros: There are plenty of fantastic songs in this album that continue to show off Ne-Yo's talent as a singer and songwriter. My personal favourites are "Champagne Life", "One in A Million", "Telekinesis" and "What Have I Done". They're either electrifying, emotional or a careful mixture of both. Cons: Unfortunately, a couple of the songs are a bit of a let down and I think it was because of the fact that he was trying to be experimental. Songs like "Cause I Said So" to me were kind of lacking, especially compared to songs from his other albums like Year of the Gentlemen. Also, it's a shame there are only 10 songs. I feel that the story could've been conveyed more if there were a few more songs. But overall, this is a triumph for Ne-Yo.

5) Mise-en-scene: everything you can see in the video - setting, costume, props and characters

Him going to the gym, drinking liquor straight from the bottle — while dressed in a giant Pokémon suit, but ends up on the run with throngs of smartphone-bearing Pokémon addicts in hot pursuit. This is what they where in the song which shows that it was mainly targeted for kids and maybe tennegars who are just so bored. Though the single features a verse from Kendrick Lamar, the rapper does not appear in the video — either in human or Pokémon form. "Don't Wanna Know," contrasts Levine's tale of heartbreak with a soft, carefree beat; radio programmers will find it easy to slide into a playlist after Sia's "Cheap Thrills" or Major Lazer's lean on.

6) Visual Effects and clever editing- This is when the music video features amazing special effects such as CGI.
Ne-Yo has been one of the consistent male artists of his generation to produce hit after hit. It’s been a great year for Ne-Yo following the success of the release of his new album “Year of The Gentleman”. 2 top ten hits across the globe and of course, he is ready to release single #3 from his new album. It’s titled “Mad” and it’s proving another classic ballad hit for this gentleman.
“Mad” is another r&B ballad song which kind of settles somewhere between So Sick and Miss independent. It’s effortlessly crafted lyrics are just easily to relate to. Ne-Yo’s approach to relationships seemed to be working as many have patroned his exquisite talent in singing these kinds of songs. The song also has mild piano accompaniment which closely resembles “Take A Bow” in some way. It’s a no wonder why Ne-Yo has been one of the most successful artists of 2008 even grabbing a Grammy Nomination for Album of the Year. Ne-Yo’s effortless vocals pretty much elevated the likeability of the song. He’s so in-demand right now that I almost hear his songs in the radio more frequent than ever.

    Waterloo road

What does the clip suggest about this particular storyline for Waterloo Road? What do you expect to happen? How might the new character impact on existing storylines

Narrative:The clip for Waterloo Road introduces several narrative strands. In this clip the audience is introduce to Gabriella who is a new character to the series. The audience believes that she is going to cause a lot trouble with the school. There is going to be conflict between the boy that Gabriella kissed to get the lipstick off and the other girl
at 0:58. There is a disequilibrium because of Gabriella kissing the boy.

Character:The characters are typical of a TV Drama in the sub-genre of a teenage drama and largely follows Propp's theory of character types. The clip introduces key characters like the teachers and Gabriella who is a new addition to the school. A stereotype to introduce is Gabriella being very rebellious when she kissed the boy just to get the lipstick off. There is also the mother who is very protective over her child. In 0:36 Gabriella is putting on makeup and lipsticks which shows all girls care about is there looks.

The movie that I have chosen to analyse is Spectre, which is an action movie that follows the world renowned ‘James Bond’. Spectre follows Bond as he tracks the person who has been sending people to kill him, IMDB suggest that spectre is about “Bond peeling back the layers of deceit to reveal the terrible truth behind SPECTRE’’.

The film studios for Spectre are Columbia pictures, Sony pictures entertainment and Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer. Sam Mendes the director of Spectre has also directed Skyfall which was another James bond movie which was made in 2012. Daniel Craig is one of the James Bond actors that has starred in six of the James Bond movies. The first teaser trailer of spectre was on the 27 March 2015 and the other was 22 of July 2015 which was many months earlier than the movie and this was a good way to promote the movie. When people look at the James Bond poster they will obviously see Daniel Craig is James Bond just by looking at the poster.

The trailer for Spectre uses many narrative techniques used by Hollywood action movies as theorised by Vladimir Propp. There are character types such as the hero James Bond (Daniel Craig) as he saves people from danger, the villain as Ernst Stavro Blofeld (Christoph Waltz) as he has been following James Bond since the first movie and sends people to try and kill him and he is responsible for the kidnapping of the victim Madeline (Léa Seydoux). In action movies we typically see heroes, villains, and victims; therefore the trailer will appeal to the target audience.

The trailer has a lot of Barthes action codes like the car chase with the Aston Martin DB10 and the Jaguar CX-75 in Rome this makes the potential audience make them go to the edge of the sit experience when watching the car chase. This tells us in the trailer that is mostly an action and drama movie that’s what the audience feels like. In the trailer it has a few enigma codes like

Spectre is the most expensive 007 movie to date, with a budget rumoured to be well north of $250 million. At 148 minutes, it is also the longest, which becomes evident in the bloated second half. But Mendes kicks off in the same impressive mode as Skyfall, deepening Bond's back story while self-consciously borrowing from the franchise's classic Sixties heritage. The first act is great, full of dark portent and bravura film-making flourishes. However, the final hour disappoints, with too many off-the-peg plot twists and too many characters conforming to type. While its commercial prospects seem bulletproof, Spectre ultimately feels like a lesser film than Skyfall, falling back on cliche and convention.
Filmed in downtown Mexico City during the riotous Day of the Dead festivities, the stupendous pre-credits sequence opens with an extended tracking shot that would make Orson Welles jealous. After a spectacular demolition and helicopter fight leaves a trail of carnage, James Bond (Daniel Craig) is grounded by his jittery bosses. But he defies their orders as he races to Rome, the Austrian Alps and the Moroccan desert in search of Franz Oberhauser (Christopher Waltz), the shadowy mastermind behind an all-powerful criminal cartel called Spectre, reviving an iconic piece of 007 folklore dating back to the Sean Connery era.
Meanwhile, back in London, M (Ralph Fiennes), Moneypenny (Naomie Harris) and Q (Ben Whishaw) are fighting for survival against an ambitious government mandarin called C (Andrew Scott) with plans to shut down the 00 agent program and replace it with his own sinister high-tech surveillance network. If all this sounds a little familiar, it is pretty much the same plot as the latest Mission: Impossible movie Rogue Nation, right down to using Morocco and Austria as exotic locations. But at least Spectre boasts a little more visual finesse, courtesy of Interstellar cinematographer Hoyte Van Hoytema.
