The movie that i have chosen is James Bond Spectre

2) Why did you choose this film in particular? 


The reason that i have chosen this film is that its is extraordinary and exciting

 The product company for spectre is Columbia pictures, Sony pictures entertainment and Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer

2) Who was the distributor for the theatrical release of the film in the UK?

It is distributed by Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer and Columbia pictures

1) What genre does your chosen film fit into?

The genre for this film is action, spy, crime fiction, Thriller, and adventure



2) How can you tell it fits that genre? Be specific with reference to the trailer.


The iconography for the film spectre is that there is guns, explosives, car chase crime scene.
3) Does your chosen film have any stars or a director that are known for that particular genre?


 Sam Mendes the director of Spectre has also directed Skyfall which was another James bond movie which was made in 2012 was a brilliant movie. Daniel Craig one of the James bond actors has played in 6 of the wonderful movies of James bond.

The first teaser trailer of spectre was on the 27 of March 2015 and the other was 22 of July 2015 which was many months earlier than the movie and this was a good way to promote the movie .


1) What was the word-of-mouth like for your chosen film? If you can’t find tweets (probably blocked) use the IMDB user review rating or the Rotten Tomatoes Tomato meter rating to judge whether the public have given the movie a good review.

  1. List all the film poster key conventions you can find. How do these attract a potential audience?
One of the spectre poster is iconography when James bond is holding a gun. We can also see that there an actors list. There is also some kind of release date it says 'COMING SOON'. They also say's what cinema is. There is a central image and a background image of James bond.
