Annabelle film poster analysis

Image result for annabelle

Language:
The film poster for Annabelle has a date that is was released. The tear in the dolls eye is red, blood is a stereotype of the horror genre, so making a doll who is unable to do humanly things gives the audience something to think about.
'BEFORE THE CONJURING THERE WAS ANNABELLE'
This is written across the poster, this shows the audience that this film is a prequel to a very successful horror film that has already been made.

Institution:
The institution straight  the audience has trust and excitement for the release of the film. Knowing this is a prequel of another film straight away the audience will know a slight bit of background towards the film, as this doll was seem in The Conjuring too. The use of typography here is used very well.

Audience:
When I first saw the “Annabelle” trailer, I thought that maybe this could be the one to outdo the terrifying horror of “The Conjuring.” After watching “Annabelle,” it’s safe to say it’s no way near as scary “The Conjuring.”Don’t get me wrong though “Annabelle” was indeed horrifying. It takes the creepiness of dolls to a whole different level.“Annabelle” starts with a couple that are expecting their first baby. The husband, John Gordon, decides to buy his wife, Mia, a one-of-a-kind antique doll. Everything seems to be fine and dandy until one night when Mr. and Mrs. Gordon’s home is intruded by two members of a satanic cult.

Representation:
The doll is presented as sinister and appears to be possessed as we see a life-likeness to a human being as the doll is shedding tears of  blood. The doll is represented as evil as the ambience appears to be dark as the colours used have connotations of a negative energy. Black is the domineering colour, it illustrates darkness and a fear of the unknown. The caption shows only half of "Annabelle's" face, she is represented as a cheerful/ vibrant doll but on a closer inspection the smile

Run run run storyboard

RUN as fast as you can storyboard

Fazian has got a message from someone but he doesn't know who it is. He runs and runs and runs for his life and he doesn't stop but when he stops to catch his breath he goes behind a purple container in a school yard. When he looks around the corner of the container he doesn't know that the murderer is right behind him and he dies.

This is an extreme close up shot. We made it a (ECLS) because it shows what it says on the phone.

This is a medium shot.We made it a (MS) because it shows the setting, particularly the canteen which will tell the audience that it is based in a school.

This is a long shot. We made this a (LS) because he is running so we need to see all of him particularly the setting it shows the building and part of the stairs.

This is a medium long shot. This a (MS) because if it was a close up shot we will not be able to see the killer or the background and victim.

This is an close up shot. This is because it is right towards the killers weapon.

This is an extreme long shot. This is because it shows the expression on his face. He should be very scared but you can see he has a very depressed and helpless.

This is a medium shot. This is because you can see the setting and you can also see the killer and victim.

This is an extreme close up.This is because you can see the message on the phone and it is very                                                                             clear.

This is a low angled shot. This is because it is taking from the ground and it is looking up.

This is a medium shot. This is because you cane see half of his body and he looks very evil while doing it.
